Hydroponics is the art of growing plants without soil.
Hydroponics is a fairly new technology in india, although it has been widely used around the world for many years.
Hydroponics is 100% natural. Plant growth is a real & natural happening. Plants require basic, natural things for normal growth. Hydroponics supplies the plant with what it needs, when it needs it.
Plants grown in hydroponics are healthy & strong, as they grow in ideal growing conditions, and a strong healthy plant is much less prone to attack from pests & diseases than a weaker plant. Thus the need for pesticides is greatly reduced. Also all soil born pests are totally eliminated as hydroponic growing is completely soilless. Thus resulting in much healthier products for consumers.
Growing plants hydroponically is more eco friendly than conventional farming. As water is a very precious resource in todays world & hydroponics uses 70 to 90 percent LESS water than conventional farming. An other benefit is that no fertilizer runoff escapes into the ground, lakes & rivers. Water conservation & non-pollution are major environmental benefits of Hydroponics.
